Keys to Victory: Champion’s Cup – Game 2

It was a wild finish down south as Georgia stormed back with a seven goal run in the 4th quarter to surge past the Rush 18-14 in Game 1 of the Champion’s Cup.

We now have a sample of what to expect out of this series as the action switches to Saskatoon on Saturday. I outlined the “X-Factors” for each team last week (Link: http://bit.ly/2s27MPU), but what are the keys for the second encounter?

A major factor for both teams is the insane (and I mean that in a good way) atmosphere inside SaskTel Centre. The low roof and packed stands makes the arena sound like it could break a Guinness World Record for decibel noise levels.

The Swarm will want to quiet that crowd as soon as possible, while striking early could keep momentum in the Rush’s corner. Saskatchewan did have the best home record in the NLL at 8-1 during the regular season afterall.

My NLLTV broadcast partner Brian Shanahan and I discussed this and several other “Keys to Victory”.
