FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Philadelphia (December 22, 2025) – The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced a partnership with Octagon to serve as the exclusive representative for the League’s media rights. The agreement comes at a pivotal moment as the NLL’s current rights deals with TSN and ESPN conclude following the 2025-26 season. Octagon will guide the League through its upcoming rights negotiations and long-term media strategy as the NLL continues its significant trajectory of growth, digital expansion, and fan engagement.
“Partnering with Octagon marks an important next step in the evolution of our media strategy,” said Brett Frood, Commissioner of the NLL. “As we approach the end of the current rights cycle, we are focused on broadening access to our sport, strengthening our digital footprint, and aligning with partners who share our ambition for growth. Octagon’s expertise, relationships, and proven track record in global media rights make them an ideal collaborator as we shape the next chapter of NLL distribution.”
Dan Cohen, Senior Vice President of Global Media Rights Consulting at Octagon, emphasized the strength of the moment for the League. “The NLL is experiencing tremendous momentum driven by a dynamic fan base, strong in-venue atmosphere, and a compelling on-floor product,” Cohen said. “We are excited to partner with the League to build a media strategy that reflects this growth and unlocks even greater reach and value.
With a mandate to maximize reach, value, and innovation, Octagon will collaborate closely with the League to elevate the distribution of NLL games and storytelling. The partnership underscores the NLL’s commitment to expanding visibility while creating new opportunities for fans to connect with the sport.
Octagon will begin working immediately with the NLL on comprehensive market analysis, packaging, and partner outreach as the League prepares to enter its next media rights cycle.
