The National Lacrosse League has announced the “NLL Teammate of the Year” award designed to honor players who demonstrate exemplary teamwork and leadership qualities during the 2015 season.
The award will recognize the “ideal teammate” who exemplifies selfless play along with commitment and dedication to their team. The recipient will be an individual considered to be a superior leader within the NLL and as a contributing member of society. The best candidates will be those who lead by positive example through on-floor performance, motivation of team members, and dedication to community activities and charitable causes.
One player from each team will be voted by their teammates into the pool of nine finalists after the season. All NLL players will then cast votes between the nine finalists to determine the winner. The nine finalists and one recipient will be honored at the 2015 NLL Season Awards Ceremony, which includes the league’s Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year and more awards, during the offseason.
