The National Lacrosse League trade deadline has officially closed as teams looked to solidify their units for a long postseason run, build for the future, or in some cases a combination of both.
These are the deals that transpired during the month of March starting with the most recent:
The Knighthawks clearly set the tone leading up to and including deadline day as they were literally involved in every single trade this month. Loading up on high draft picks as well as bringing in a talent like Ryan Benesch, puts the soon to be Halifax Thunderbirds in good position for the present and down the road.
Joe Reseterits adds some extra American firepower to the Black Wolves as they claw to climb up the standings. For San Diego, Paul Dawson presents the perfect veteran physicality on the back end with the added leadership coveted by an expansion club. More experienced defense headed west Monday as both the Rush and Mammoth acquired seasoned pros to help their push for the playoffs.
There’s just over a month left in the regular season – no more wheeling and dealing or major roster shakeups. That means the march to the NLL Cup is almost here!
