Offseason Team Power Rankings

The work to build or maintain a successful National Lacrosse League franchise never stops. Constant roster tweaking is necessary to stay in the Champion’s Cup hunt, especially with the parity amongst teams at an all-time high.

In one of the most active offseasons in recent memory, front offices have been busy signing players. The Rush, Rock, Mammoth, Bandits, and Black Wolves are also shaking up the box lacrosse landscape with several trades.

The NLL Entry Draft is still over a month away, but how do clubs stack up against one another now compared to at the end of the 2017 campaign?

I examined my NLLTV broadcast partner Brian Shanahan’s IL Indoor power rankings from the end of May. We decided that with all the wheeling and dealing from around the league some adjustments to the rankings were in order. Below are the current team positions with their end of season placement number in parenthesis as well as an audio discussion of our reasoning.
