Stealth Re-Sign Top Pick Bremner

Vancouver inks last year’s first round draft selection to one-year deal

The Vancouver Stealth have announced the re-signing of forward Cody Bremner to a one-year contract agreement for the 2015 National Lacrosse League season, pending league approval.

Bremner played in 12 games with the Stealth as a rookie in 2014, recording 23 points (9 goals, 14 assists) and 41 loose balls in 12 games. The former first-round pick scored at least one goal in six games and at least one point in 10 of 12 contests with a single-game season-high of six points (3+3). The 24-year-old from Victoria, BC was selected eighth overall in the first round of the 2013 NLL Entry Draft.

Bremner played Jr. A lacrosse with the Nanaimo Timbermen where he was selected as the BCJALL Top Rookie in 2008 and was a First All Star Tam selection in 2008 and 2010. He played for the New Westminster Salmonbellies in the 2010 Minto Cup.

Earlier this month, the Stealth opened free agency by re-signing two returning players with one-year deals for defensemen Justin Pychel and Brad Richardson and signed former Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Tyler Burton along with Caleb Wiles and Johnnie Rae.
