Stealth Tops Mammoth 9-8 In Scrimmage

The Colorado Mammoth wrapped up its second weekend of training camp on Sunday morning with an exhibition game against the Vancouver Stealth at the Fieldhouse at Langley Events Centre in Langley, British Columbia. Defense prevailed, as did the hometown Stealth. Vancouver outscored Colorado, 3-0, in the fourth quarter to beat the Mammoth by one, 9-8.

Forward Chris Wardle, who appeared in four games with Vancouver in 2014, was Colorado’s leading scorer. He assisted on five of the Mammoth’s eight goals. Eli McLaughlin scored two goals for the second consecutive day, and Mike Burke found the net twice as well.

Tommy McKee, who had a goal on Saturday night, scored on Sunday as well. Jackson Decker and Jamie Lincoln tallied goals for the Mammoth, as did Conrad Chapman, who signed with Colorado on Friday.

Goaltender Alex Buque limited the Stealth to six goals in three quarters of action.
