Trade: Bandits & Black Wolves Swap Player & Picks

The Buffalo Bandits and New England Black Wolves have announced a trade with New England acquiring Drew Petkoff and a fourth-round pick in the 2015 NLL Draft from Buffalo in exchange for New England’s lowest second-round pick in the 2016 NLL Draft, pending league approval.

The second-round pick will be the lower choice between New England’s own selection and the one originally belonging to the Toronto Rock.

“We are looking forward to Drew joining our team,” said Black Wolves head coach Blane Harrison. “He gives us some grit, toughness and sandpaper as we begin the second half of our season.”

Petkoff saw action in three games for Buffalo in 2013, picking up two assists and nine loose balls. Prior to joining the Bandits as a free agent, the defenseman spent three seasons in Toronto. As a rookie in 2010, he dished out five assists and picked up 74 loose balls in 12 games. Petkoff has 13 points (2+11) and 132 loose balls in 28 career games.
