National Lacrosse League Players Use Warrior Burn XP2 To Enhance Speed, Power

NLL Partner, Equipment Provider To Continue Popular ‘Burning Take’ Web Series with Teddy Jenner

The National Lacrosse League (@NLL), North America’s premier professional lacrosse league, has long valued its affiliation with Warrior (@warriorlax), the premier equipment provider for the sport of lacrosse and Official Partner and supplier of the NLL’s equipment pool for players.

The continued partnership has provided an important showcase for the Warrior Burn Line, which in its fourth iteration since debuting in 2014 is designed specifically to enhance the speed and power of a player. Whether you’re a downhill dodger shooting in transition, pulling up from range, or looking to flip the floor on the competition, the latest Burn XP2 products are sure to provide players Xtreme Power.

In addition, the NLL and Warrior are pleased to bring back the popular “Burning Take” web and social media content series in which lacrosse broadcaster Teddy Jenner gives fans a “hot take” on league news and highlights the Burn line through its title.

Warrior’s XP line launched in 2021, with a notable change in the updated model that just hit the market: a complete refresh of the XP2-O head for midfielders and sharp shooting attackmen. This head is much stiffer than its predecessor due to new Therma Loc+ plastic and added X-Truss sidewall stabilizer. Along with increasing the strength of the head, the Warrior engineers implemented an extreme offset and throat pinch to provide consistent power and accuracy. In addition, the XP2 line includes a defensive specific head as well. The XP2-D is perfect for transition players that need a bit more beef through the head for hard checks and blocking shots. Additionally for the stringing community, both heads feature new Spine Track technology along the bottom rails of the head. The spokes along each string hole provide mesh/string protection that allows you to string a secure pocket with ease.

The Burn XP2 Carbon shaft has gone through a bit of a makeover as well. New Star Matrix grip provides unmatched control of the handle and slides with ease when switching hands – without tearing up the palm of players’ gloves. With an improved flex profile and increased lateral stiffness, this shaft is guaranteed to add power and accuracy to a shot. Weighing in at 130g, the XP2 Carbon quite literally floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee.

To round out the offering, the Burn XP2 glove will be available to pick up along with the heads and shaft. After the success of the original XP1 glove, only a few small updates were needed for the XP2; mainly those focused on comfort. The Jet Stream Palm system with added ventilation holes on the fingers of the glove keeps hands fresh and cool while playing. Secondly, the shortened cuff was implemented to allow more mobility and flex for top NLL players like Trevor Baptiste and Jeff Teat.

Warrior sponsored NLL athletes like Wes Berg, Jack Hannah, and Charlie Bertrand are among the players using the XP2 gloves.
