Everything You Need to Know: Bandits Banner Raising Night

After a thrilling seven-month break following their 2024 National Lacrosse League (NLL) Championship, the Buffalo Bandits are gearing up to welcome fans back to KeyBank Center on Saturday, Dec. 28, for an unforgettable Home Opener. This highly anticipated evening will feature the Bandits raising their sixth championship banner to the rafters in a pre-game ceremony. Needless to say, it’s a big weekend in Buffalo sports. It kicks off with a Friday night Sabres game vs the Chicago Blackhawks, our Saturday night Bandits game and the Sunday afternoon Bills finale when the New York Jets come to town.

The Bandits, who are undefeated and aiming for a remarkable three-peat, will play in front of a sold-out crowd. Buffalo fans have much to be on the lookout for as the Bandits take center stage.

Where to Watch

ESPN+ will broadcast the Banner Ceremony live starting at 6:15 p.m. ET, with the game to follow on ESPN2 at 6:30 p.m. ET. Canadian and international fans can also tune in on NLL+ and TSN+ to catch the action.

Pre-Game Festivities

Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be in their seats by 6:10 p.m. to catch the start of the banner-raising ceremony. The team will proudly add to its legacy with this symbolic moment before facing off against the Rochester Knighthawks at 6:30pm ET.

As a token of appreciation, every fan in attendance will receive a mini replica championship banner to commemorate the occasion.

PA Announcer Chris “Swenny” Swenson will bring his signature energy back to the arena, while the Bandettes cheerleading squad will keep the crowd engaged with their vibrant performances. A bagpiper will also add to the electric atmosphere, ensuring an unforgettable evening of sights and sounds.
